PRINCE GEORGE – Morning Place residents affected by an ice jam along the Nechako, are criticizing the City for failing to support them. When the flooding began Sunday night, City crews helped to build a sandbag wall and set up water pumps.
Emergency officials kept an eye on things through Monday morning. By this morning, crews were gone but left behind empty bags and a load of sand.
Homeowner Jeremy Butterfield says the residents are overwhelmed and need help protecting their homes.
According to city officials, the staff’s time and energy are to monitor the river levels around the clock.
