PRINCE GEORGE — Talk about a busy 12 hours for the Prince George RCMP.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says police responded to 31 calls for service from 7 p.m. last night (Oct.28) to 7 a.m. this morning.

He says the calls were wide-ranging, including two calls to a business on Gauthier Road off Highway 16 West. The first call came in around 3 a.m.

“Officers, including a police dog service team, attended the area immediately. A 25-year-old female, most recently from Kamloops was arrested near the scene and is currently in custody.”

Douglass says just before 6 a.m., police were called to a report of another commercial alarm at the same spot where they arrested a 27-year-old man from Kelowna.

“A second male suspect fled the area in a grey truck, likely stolen. Neither the suspect nor the truck have been located as of yet.”

He says police also received a report of a stolen Ford F-250 pick-up from an address on Abbott Street. He says the vehicle was located abandoned near Carney Street and 10th Avenue a few minutes later. The suspect is still at large.

At about 5 a.m., he says police were called to the area of Tyner Boulevard and 15th Avenue for a report of a male with an apparent mental health concern.

“Officers located a naked 40-year-old male in the area showing signs of excited delirium. The male was erratic and violent toward members. Officers were able to control the man until paramedics were able to assist. The man was transported to hospital for further treatment.”

And at 10 p.m. last night, he says police were called to a disturbance on the 1900  block of 3rd Avenue.

“Members attended and heard a female yelling for help. Officers entered the residence and located an adult female suffering from non-life threatening injuries. A 57-year-old male was arrested, held in custody overnight, and will attend court later today.”

If you have any information about any of the above cases, you are asked to call police.
