Fire Destroys Beaverly Home

Just four days before Christmas, a fire has gutted a house on West Beaverly Road.  

The Beaverly Volunteer Fire Department was called out around 6 this morning.  The fire was reported by a volunteer firefighter who was passing by on his way to work. By the time crews arrived, the entire home was in flames.  The home and its attached garage are a complete write-off.  

Luckily the owner and only occupant of the home was away at work.  There is livestock on the property, but the animals were not affected by the blaze.  

14 firefighters including two-man crews from the Ferndale and Pineview volunteer fire departments battled the fire.
