Seniors Tea Sees Record Numbers

From its humble roots of 80 seniors gathered at the Ramada for a seniors tea a decade ago, the event put on by Prince George-MLA Shirley Bond has grown each year since. This year, more than 800 have registered for the events.
“It started with about 80 seniors at a local hotel and we’ve outgrown every venue now. It is the highlight of my pre-Christmas events.”
There’s music and some dancing. The Spruce Kings are helping with pouring the tea and there are gifts for all the guests.
