Lyn Hall To Run Again

PRINCE GEORGE – It comes as no surprise to many. Mayor Lyn Hall is running for a second term. He used the front steps of City hall to thank his family and friends for tolerating his foray into civic politics. He also used the event to run down the achievements of recent years; the economic diversity and prosperity, how Prince George is “on the map” in terms of trade and transportation, the revival of downtown, housing. 

“We became known for our location geographically. And now Prince George is on the map and, now we just begin to foster that and build on that bit of history over the last four years.”

But he also referred to the challenges the new Council will face moving forward. 

“Infrastructure needs are still a top priority for us. We’re still playing catch-up with our old infrastructure. THat’s going to cost money, that’s going to cost us some time dealing with the federal government on potential grants. And I think too, moving forward with our parks review and our facilities review. We have a number of facilities we need to take a look at.”
