Vaisakhi celebration set for Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — Sikhs and the Prince George community at large will celebrate Vaisakhi this Saturday.

The celebration will kick off at the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara temple on Davis Road at 10 a.m. with a parade that will proceed down Ospika Boulevard and into the CN Centre parking lot.

From noon until 2 p.m. there will be speeches, displays and free food for the whole community to enjoy.

Volunteer Bally Bassi says the event is partly about celebrating diversity.
