PRINCE GEORGE — The search is on for a new superintendent in School District 57.

This after Superintendent Marilyn Marquis-Forster tendered her resignation to the Board of Education yesterday (May 14).

“She has chosen to devote more time to the pursuit of other activities and opportunities,” says a School District news release.

Marquis-Forster worked for the School District for almost three years.

“The Board would like to thank Ms. Marquis-Forster for her service to the School District, specifically with the operationalization of the Strategic Plan and her focus on student success,” added the School District.

Board Chair Tim Bennett says the Board will be meeting in the coming days to start the search for an interim and its next superintendent.
