PRINCE GEORGE–In the midst of warmer weather RCMP are reminding the public to not leave unattended children or pets in vehicles.
Over the weekend, RCMP frontline officers attended to a report of a child left in a vehicle while the parents went into a business. The officers believed the child to be in distress and therefore removed the child from the car, despite the engine and air conditioning left running.
The toddler was not injured and the parent was located and cautioned about leaving the child behind.
