PRINCE GEORGE- John A. Brink is one of fifteen people who will be appointed to the Order of British Columbia, which is the province’s highest form of recognition. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the order. More than 200 people were nominated this year and the winners were chosen by an independent advisory committee. Brink was selected for being a lumber industry leader and innovator. He built the largest secondary wood manufacturer in North America, helping to diversify the Canadian forestry sector after immigrating here with only a few resources. The Order of British Columbia ceremony will be held in Victoria on June 28th.
