Electric vehicles gaining popularity in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE— Electric Vehicle (EV) owners gathered at the Prince George Farmer’s Market today (June 1). The gathering was a kickoff event for the Emotive campaign in Prince George, which raises awareness of plug-in electric vehicles in B.C.
“We want to give people an opportunity to come by and experience electric vehicles and talk to owners in Prince George about the feasibility of the vehicles and really engage them about how fun and exciting a vehicle can be.” -Michael Stanyer, Plugin BC Program Coordinator
People are often surprised by the power of EVs and their ability to hold a charge. There are charging stations throughout the city, including two at UNBC and one at the Coast. EVs are also still able to run in winter conditions.
