Dawson Creek Mounties investigate shots fired incident

DAWSON CREEK — A shots fired investigation is underway in Dawson Creek.

Dawson Creek RCMP Cst. Jaime Ekkel says police received a report of shots fired on Wednesday (June 5) at around 10:15 p.m. near a residence located at 90th Avenue and 8th Street.

“It was reported that two shots were fired at the residence before a dark coloured SUV was witnessed leaving the area at a fast pace,” he says.

“The Dawson Creek RCMP are looking for assistance in identifying the vehicle of interest in the attached photos and any possible occupants.”

Police believe that this is a targeted incident and that the risk to the public is low.
