A group of youth is giving back to the community
PRINCE GEORGE–A local group of young people is giving back to the community.
Interact Club is made up of youth ages 12-18 who have the passion and determination to give back to the community without reaping revenue. Fundraising money for the community, supporting a child in need overseas and volunteering at St.Vincent de Paul, monthly are just some of the things the club does to give back.
“Going into my second term as president I have seen so many wonderful people take on challenges and fundraise for causes they feel passionate for. It allows our youth to make and impact on causes they believe in both locally and internationally.” –Qais Khan, President of Interact Club
Qais Khan was a recipient of this years ‘Youth of the Year’ award, presented by the City and is the president of the club. The newest foundation Interact Club has started supporting is New Hope, which focuses on supporting marginalized women in the sex industry access the supports and services they need.
