PRINCE GEORGE— The love of dogs brings people together, and for many, the memories made at the Prince George Kennel Club Dog Show lasts a lifetime. This year’s show is extra special, as it’s in memory of local competitor, Madeline Kozoris.

“My daughter Madeline Kozoris has been a huge dog show handler since she was ten,” Tammy Kozoris says.

“She was just killed in a car accident three weeks ago.”

Kozoris loved being a role model for the young competitors. Her friends and family have created a junior handling bursary in her name, so young girls can compete at a competitive level, just like she did.

Kozoris’ boyfriend is competing this weekend with the puppy she was planning on competing with. Tammy Kozoris says it’s hard being there without her daughter, but it’s really special seeing young girls compete this weekend.

The dog show continues until Sunday with a variety of different competitions throughout the weekend.
