Big Guy Lake look for win in Winnipeg

It’s a huge weekend for Big Guy Lake as the Men’s fastball squad heads to Winnipeg for what they hope will be a winning weekend. The local team is one of 23 teams competing in the Canadian Native Fastball Championships, with hopes of improving on their third place finish from last season. The Big Guy Lake Kings, formerly known as the Blazers, have had a hot summer, with tournament wins in Kamloops and Williams Lake. The Kings play their first game at 2:15 Friday afternoon before Opening Ceremonies at 6. The Kings are joined by the defending champion Westbank Cardinals as the only two BC teams playing in Manitoba this weekend.
