RCMP seize stolen items from local residence

PRINCE GEORGE–RCMP are now in possession of an abundance of stolen goods, and a man has been arrested in connection, after seizing the items from a local residence.

PG RCMP received a call from a concerned citizen, on Wednesday, July 31, who claimed to have seen an All Terrain Vehicle hidden under an old mattress in the backyard residence, in the 13000 block of Carney Street. Officers attended the address and located the ATV which had been stolen a day earlier from another residence in the city.

Police continued to search the yard and discovered other stolen property including: bicycles, power and hand tools and three rifles. A man, well known to police was taken into custody and held on outstanding warrants.

The RCMP are asking anyone who may have been a victim o theft and not reported it to call the PG RCMP Detachment and provide details of the stolen items. Police would also like to remind homeowners to remain vigilant and ensure their yards and sheds are locked to not attract thieves.
