Five warrants two arrested

Police take aim at drug trafficking

PRINCE GEORGE – On Thursday, August 1st, 2019, the Prince George RCMP executed five controlled drugs and substances search warrants at residences in the city. Three of the warrants were executed at residences in the 2800 block of Parent Road, the 4100 block of 1st Avenue, and the 4300 block of Eaglenest Crescent. The other two were executed at residences in the 100 block of McIntyre Crescent. The search yielded a shotgun, two handguns, a significant amount of cash, over a kilogram of cocaine, seven ounces of fentanyl, ten ounces of methamphetamine, and four ounces of crack cocaine. Also, a 2019 GMC Sierra pickup truck and a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe were seized as offense-related property. With the execution of the warrants, a 38-year-old male and a 41-year-old male were arrested; both are residents of Prince George. The two suspects have since been released from custody pending further investigation.
