PRINCE GEORGE — With kids due back in the classroom next week and with enrolment on the rise, the expansion and renovation of D.P. Todd is at the top of the Prince George School Board’s wish list when it comes to capital projects.

D.P. Todd’s current capacity is 625 and an upgrade would create space for an additional 300 students.

An expansion and renovation would also take the pressure off Duchess Park Secondary, which is 125 students over its capacity of 900.

The estimated cost of the D.P. Todd project is just over $40 million and Board Chair Tim Bennett says he’s optimistic the provincial government will come through with the funding.
