CHETWYND–Northern Health is informing the public of a 12 hour diversion due to a lack of registered nursing staff.

Northern Health made a facebook post saying that Chetwynd General Hospital would have to suspend emergency room services from 7PM, Sunday, Sep. 1 to 7 AM Monday Sep. 2nd. CKPG confirmed with Northern Health, who says that anyone in need of emergency room service should call 9-1-1 for ambulance assistance, or to make their way to the nearest hospital of choice.
