PRINCE GEORGE–The United Way launched their 365 Small Business Circle an initiative for small businesses to give back, and a local business was the first member to sign up in Northern BC.

The Oak Room Grill signed up to be the first member of the initiative, donating $1 a day to the United Way. Prashant Pandhi, General Manager of The Oakroom Grill says he’s seen how supportive the community is and decided it was “time to give back.”

“We can’t think of a better way than by supporting UWNBC. They are an umbrella organization that focuses on core social programming that targets community specific issues and supports programs to address those needs…One dollar can make a difference to a person – it can provide one meal to a senior,” said Pandhi.

United Way is a volunteer-driven organization that aims at improving lives and building community.
