Man dies of injuries in Chilako Drive house fire

PRINCE GEORGE–A 40 year old Prince George man died in hospital and three others are expected to survive after a reported explosion and house fire on Chilako Drive Saturday night.
It is believed that everyone made it out of the residence, however one dog did not survive. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Witnesses and video evidence indicate the occupants of the residence were handling large quantities of gasoline. RCMP fire investigators, along with members of the RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section,are at the scene gathering evidence to help determine whether this incident was criminal in nature.
This residence is well known to police . Police are urging anyone with information or video related to this incident to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
