A local boy has been named to an exclusive list of Canadian softball players. Nicholas Potskin is one of 44 players named to the 2020 Men’s National Team Athlete Pool. He’s also 1 of 8 players new to the pool. It’ll allow him to go to national team training, development, and selection camps. The Canadian Men’s National Team won bronze at this year’s World Championship so not a bad nod for the local softball star. Potskin also recently announced he will be heading to New Zealand to play, a country that is widely regarded as one of the best in the sport.
