Chara celebrates #1500 in the NHL

It’s a milestone night for one Prince George Cougar alumni. When Zdeno Chara takes to the ice tonight at the Bell Centre in Montreal it will mark his 1,500th career game in the NHL. Chara is one of the most notable Prince George Cougar alumni standing at 6’9, spending one season with Cats in 96-97 where he had 3 goals and 19 assists. Chara broke into the NHL with the New York Islanders in 1997 and has had a hall of fame career which has seen him compile 202 career goals, 445 career assists, and over 1,900 penalty minutes. He also won a Stanley Cup in 2011 with the Boston Bruins.
