IWAU events may be moved

IWAU will go ahead despite possible job action at UNBC

PRINCE GEORGE–The fifth annual week-long Inspiring Women Amoung Us (IWAU) event is back for 2019.

This year Masculinities, making space and moving forward is the theme of the 2019 series organized by Dr.Annie Booth, Dr.Zoe Meletis and Susie Wilson of the University of Northern BC along with organizers and volunteers.

The event celebrates the achievement of inspiring women from across the world, as well as the barriers women face to succeed and build careers, kicks off on Wednesday, Nov.13th at 10 AM. The kick-off is supposed to take place at the Canfor Winter Garden, however, due to recent events at UNBC, job action a possibility, the previously scheduled activities at UNBC may be relocated.
