ICBC releases road safety resources for teachers

VANCOUVER– ICBC has developed new road safety learning resources for teachers to help keep kids and young adults stay safe.

The resources have been designed for students ranging from preschool to grade ten. Teachers are able to download road safety materials on ICBC’s website.

The information is divided by grade and each grade has a teachers’ manual and handout booklet for students.

“Whether it’s learning how to safely cross the road, or understanding the rules of a four-way stop, road safety is important for all British Columbians.” –Lindsay Matthews, ICBC’s Vice-President of Public Affairs and Driver Licensing.

The new material is downloadable in PDF format for teachers and aligns with the Ministry of Education’s new curriculum guidelines.
