PRINCE GEORGE — The first appearance in court for former BC Cabinet minister Ed John scheduled to take place in the Prince George Courthouse today has been adjourned until March 25. This after John was charged back in November with sexual assault dating back to the 1970s.
John faces four counts of sexual assault going all the way back to 1974. A special prosecutor was appointed in February of 2019 to look into the allegations of sexual offences in and around Prince George involving one person.
John is a hereditary chief and last worked in government as a special adviser for B.C.’s indigenous child welfare system.
