Mixed results at Day 1 of BC Girl’s Basketball Provincials

The first day of the B.C High School Girl’s Basketball Provincials kicked off Wednesday at the Langley Events Centre and there were some mixed results for the local basketball squads.
PGSS, who is taking part in the 4A tournament had a tough opening day on the court as they fell 126-27 to Semiahmoo. They will be back on the court Thursday morning against Earl Marriott.
Meanwhile, at the 3A level, the Duchess Park Condors picked up a win in their opening game. They knocked off G.W Graham 68-58 to advance to the Quarter-Finals where they will meet Abbotsford Senior.
The lone local squad taking part in the 2A Provincials is Nechako Valley who are taking on St.Thomas More Collegiate.
