Dust advisory issued for Prince George and area

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: The advisory has been lifted.

Earlier: (5 a.m.) The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy in collaboration with Northern Health has issued a dust advisory for Prince George and other communities in the region.

Those communities include Quesnel, Burns Lake and Smithers.

The advisory has been attributed to high concentrations of coarse and fine particulate matter that are expected to persist until there is precipitation or dust suppression.
