Dance Fest cancelled

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: Judy Russell has confirmed Dance Fest has been cancelled due to concerns over the coronavirus.

She said it was a difficult decision but necessary after B.C.’s provincial health officer banned public gatherings of 250 people or more.

Earlier: Dance Fest has been an annual event in Prince George for Northern BC dancers for more than 30 years.

“They’ve decided to go ahead because we need to do this one day at a time. There is no threat at this point in Northern BC,” says Judy Russell is referring to a decision by Dance Fest organizers.
