RCMP investigate downtown stabbing

PRINCE GEORGE — One person is in police custody following a stabbing over the weekend.

Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says the incident occurred just after 10 a.m. yesterday (March 15) morning on the 1200 block of 2nd Avenue.

“Frontline officers attended the area immediately,” he says. “The suspect was arrested near 4th Avenue and Queensway less than 10 minutes after the initial call to police.”

Douglass says the adult female victim was treated and transported to hospital. He says the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
