“Business as usual” for 1st Responders
PRINCE GEORGE – For local First Responders, it’s business as usual, despite the pandemic.
The RCMP’s front counter has been shut down, which means things like fingerprint and criminal record checks are on hold until April 15th.
“Regular policing services are absolutely still ongoing. 911 is up and running and operational so in an emergency, call 911. If it’s not an emergency, you can still call 250-561-3300 and get a non-emergent report laid to police and we’ll still investigate them.”
If there is a less serious crime, it can be reported at princegeorge.rcmp.ca and use the online crime reporting tool. The offices on Victoria Street may be closed, but there is a phone inside the door to call for assistance.
