Two arrested, one on the run following theft from vehicles

PRINCE GEORGE — Two people were arrested after allegedly stealing from vehicles early this (Mar.17) morning.

Prince George RCMP say the thefts occurred along the 1400 block of 20th Avenue. he suspects were located a short time later in a trailer park on Norwood Street. One suspect was compliant and arrested without incident while the other fled on foot but was later apprehended.

Both suspects are 36 years old – Murphy John George and Joseph Patrick Courtoreille – both from Prince George. They face a trio of charges including theft under $5,000. Both have been released on a promise to appear in court in May.

Police are still searching for a suspect in a theft from a vehicle just after 3 a.m. this morning from a pickup truck parked in a lot on Recplace Drive.
