School District 57 prepares for post-spring break programs
PRINCE GEORGE – “At this time, we have more unknowns than knowns.”
Those were the words from School District 57 Superintendent Anita Richardson, as she responds to the provincial Education Ministry’s suspension of all in-classroom education for the remainder of the academic year. However, she says the district is currently looking at its options for providing educational programs through alternative means.
“We are in continued conversations with both the Ministry and Superintendents in districts across the province to sort out what that will look like. We were given the message today that we are able to consider our local context in how we will provide learning opportunities for students.”
However, she says schools will be open after the break and teachers and staff will be on site.
