British Columbian workers affected by COVID-19 able to apply for provincial financial support May 1
VICTORIA—British Columbian’s who’s ability to work has been affected by COVID-19 will soon be able to apply for financial relief.
Starting May 1st, British Columbians will be able to apply for the $1,000 B.C. Emergency Benefit for Workers (BCEBW).
“This benefit is further help for British Columbians who are worried about paying their bills and making ends meet during the COVID-19 pandemic.”—Carole James, Minister of Finance
The BCEBW is a one-time, tax-free $1,000 payment for British Columbians who’s ability to work has been affected as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
