Service continues after derailment near Burns Lake on Sunday

BURNS LAKE–A train derailment on Sunday near Burns Lake that paused rail service has now been cleared.
CN Rail says that nine cars containing coal derailed in various positions, no fire, or dangerous goods were involved in the incident and there was no danger to public safety, according to CN.
Rail service resumed yesterday evening, however, remediation and environmental work will continue for the next few days.
In a statement by CN Rail, they says that none of the spilled coal entered the adjacent body of water, and that the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
