Farmers Market’s allowed the sale of merchandise: PHO order lifted
VICTORIA—The Public Health Order that prohibited the sale of merchandise at Farmers Markets, has been lifted, this announced by B.C.’s Provincial Health Officer in today’s (Thursday, May 28) update.
Dr. Bonnie Henry made the announcement saying that with the re-opening of retail stores, it was only fair to lift the order. Eating areas will also be allowed again at markets, much like at restaurants.
Nine new cases of the virus were announced provincially, none of which were in the Northern Health region. The nine new cases brings B.C.’s total to 2,558 confirmed cases of the virus in the province.
