School is back in session, remember to slow down

PRINCE GEORGE—The Prince George RCMP are reminding the public, that although not everyone is heading back to school, school zones are in effect.
Cpl. Craig Douglass, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP says that officers are being deployed to school zones to ensure that drivers are abiding by the rules.
School zones are in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on school days. Violation tickets will be handed out to those who do not comply with speed limits. School zones have been in effect throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Province decided to open up schools to students on June 1st on a part-time, voluntary basis as part of Phase 3 in B.C.’s Restart Plan amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
