Mattila awarded bursary from KIJHL

Prince George product and former Cariboo Cougar Myles Mattila has received a prestigious honour from the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.

Myles Mattila was one of fourteen players in the league to be selected as recipients of $500 bursaries.

The recipients earned the bursaries through sportsmanship, hockey contribution, academic achievement, and community participation.

The Prince George Secondary School grad has played for the Kelowna Chiefs for the past 3 seasons.

Mattila is not only known for his skill on the ice, but for also being the founder of MindRight for Athletes Society.
