“It does not mean a change to our basic principals.”—Dr. Bonnie Henry, Provincial Health Officer

Dr. Henry reminding British Columbians that although we are moving forward in our restart phases, that our basic principals—hand washing, physical distancing, small groups— must remain.

The order for no gatherings of more than 50 people will remain until there is a means to treat COVID-19, said Dr.Henry.

“We need to be respectful of the communities we plan to visit.”—Dr. Bonnie Henry, Provincial Health Officer

For B.C. residents planning on travelling the province this summer, Dr. Henry once again saying that in order to control the potential spread of COVID-19 British Columbians must do their due diligence; researching the community you plan to visit beforehand, and knowing what is open, and if they are taking guests from outside their community; not travelling to another community if you, anyone in your family or travel group feels sick, and if you get sick on your trip Henry says you must immediately self isolate.

2,471 people have recovered from COVID-19 in B.C.
