15 people in self-isolation at Site C camp
VANCOUVER—According to Site C’s daily update there are now 15 people in self-isolation at Site C, after it was announced that one worker who’d arrived from Alberta to the camp last week tested positive for COVID-19.
Site C says that their on-site health clinic is following B.C. Ministry of Health guidelines, which requires people to self-isolate for 10 days if they show any symptoms relating to COVID-19 such as, sneezing, a sore throat, muscle aches, headaches, cough fever or difficulty breathing.
“BC Hydro is being very cautious with our application of the guidelines and asking people to self-isolate with any slight symptom.”—Reads the update from BC Hydro
Last week BC Hydro said that it is believed that the worker from Alberta had not left the camp or been in contact with the local community prior to self-isolating. Northern Health initiated contact tracing last week. Workers are being reminded to self-monitor themselves and report any symptoms.
