PRINCE GEORGE–Northern Health announced a recipient for one of its 2020 Dr. Charles Jago Awards.

Beth Ann Derksen, executive lead for the Critical Care Program with Northern Health has been awarded the 2020 Dr. Charles Jago Award under the “Respect” category. The awards are given to those Northern Health staff, physicians and teams who have made outstanding contributions to the organization’s goals.

“Beth Ann is routinely called upon by managers and leaders across the organization to facilitate team development. This involves helping teams learn to communicate with each other effectively, manage conflict, build relationships, and understand their own styles and personalities and how this contributes to the success of a team. The tactics Beth Ann uses allow individuals to return to themselves and their teams as resources, assisting leaders in learning for themselves and respecting and valuing others.”–Amy Blanding, regional manager for Organizational Education and Training

The Jago Awards are named after Northern Health’s former board chair.
