United Way of Northern BC distributes last of Emergency Community Support Fund

PRINCE GEORGE–25 programs across Northern BC are being supported with the final round of funding from Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF), distributed through United Way of Northern BC.

The $349,000 investment will benefit 25 programs, enhanced or established due to the COVID-19 pandemic, at 21 different agencies who support vulnerable people in communities across the north. United Way of Northern BC (UWNBC) says they received a total of $2.8 million in requests through 88 applications for ECSF support.

UWNBC received $858,000 in ECSF which has now been completely invested in 55 programs and 44 agencies across the north. A full list of funded organizations can be viewed here.
