COVID-19: Premier Horgan calling for reinforcements in appeal to younger generations

But will it reach young people in Prince George who need to hear the message?

Local activist Mackenzie Kerr says she thinks it may take a more local approach like finding personalities in every town but is hopeful in a new approach.

“I hope it works,” says Kerr. “I think we just really need to get the message out there to younger people and if they’re online, then that’s where we need to go.”

Kerr says she thinks Prince George has behaved well compared to other cities, nonetheless, she says things can change quickly.

When asked about which social media influencers who could lend a hand in Prince George, Kerr says were multiple options immediately came to mind including Scott McWalter and John Brink.

Another prominent option could be @LemonPoppySeedGirl on Instagram who is based out of Prince George and has over 88 thousand followers.

Perhaps it’s as simple as the City of Prince George putting a mask on Mr. PG.
