PRINCE GEORGE —A 47-year-old Prince George man is facing charges after Prince George RCMP allege he threatened two City of Prince George bylaw officers in a parkade in downtown Prince George this past Saturday at 1:15 p.m.

“The man was said to have threatened the officers both verbally and with blunt objects,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “Frontline officers attended and located the suspect a short distance away. Initially the man provided a false name. Once he was positively identified, he was found to have an arrest warrant out of Quesnel and was believed to be breaching both his probation and conditions of a previous release.”

Douglass says George William Alexis has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Two counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm
  • Obstructing a peace officer
  • Failure to comply with probation
  • Failure to comply with release order
