Wet summer? You bet!

PRINCE GEORGE – Another rainy day in Prince George and the Central Interior, thanks to the jet stream. Normally, weather phenomena with names, like La Nina or El nino, impact the region during the winter months.

“What we’re seeing now, I don’t think we can link it to any climate pattern like el Nino,” says Peter Jackson, UNBC Meterologist. “It’s more to do with the overall jet stream and weather pattern. Of course, all these things are tied to climate change, as well.”

And the numbers bear it out.
