PRINCE GEORGE—Flights from Prince George to Victoria, and vice-versa, will resume this fall aboard Pacific Coastal Airlines.

Starting Sunday, Oct.4, flights from Northern B.C.’s capital to the province’s capital will begin once again.

“Prince George is the gateway airport to the northern communities of British Columbia and we are excited to be re-establishing the direct link with our provincial capital after suspending service in late March as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.”—Quentin Smith, Pacific Coastal Airlines President

The airline will see three weekly flights to the island and will add more as demand returns.

Flights from Prince George to Victoria will depart at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, while flights from Victoria to Prince George will depart at 1:55 p.m. on those same days.

“Pacific Coastal Airlines has proven to be a great partner and we look forward to continuing to build upon an already solid foundation. We believe there is a pent-up demand for travel within our province and Victoria is an amazing place to visit.”— Gordon Duke, President and CEO of Prince George Airport Authority

Safety measures have been adopted by the airline such as enhanced sanitation practices, physical distancing at airport facilities, reduced contact points and the requirement to have all customers travel with a face mask and answer health check questions before boarding.
