Kin Centres opening a success. So far.
PRINCE GEORGE – Council got an update on the status of the civic facilities that have opened, one that’s about to open and another that is being pursued for re-opening.
The three sheets of ice that make up the Kin Centre re-opened to the public on August 17. Council heard last night about the strict adherence to the COVID rules and is hailing it a success. Also, usage of the rinks last month has gone up over August last year by 18 percent, indicating a real desire by the users to get back on the ice. But the summer season is not the true tell.
The busy season is coming.
