City reminds residents of elimination of late payment penalties on utility bills due to pandemic

PRINCE GEORGE—The City of Prince George is reminding residents that due to the pandemic, late payment penalties on utility bills have been eliminated.

Property owners in Prince George have received or will be receiving their utility bills in the mail. Utility bills are mailed bi-annually for flat-rate accounts and quarterly for metered accounts, and pay for services such as water, sewage services, and garbage collection.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic Council eliminated the 10 per cent penalty on any late sewer, water, and solid waste utility payments between July 1st through December 31, 2020.

Residents with questions about their utility bills are encouraged to contact the City’s Service Centre by dialling 3-1-1 or emailing 311@princegeorge.ca. More information can also be found here.
