“Customers will notice at the checkout that if they’re wearing a face mask, they will receive 5% off their purchase,” says Sarrazin.

Sarrazin says the feedback from customers has been exactly what they were hoping for.

“When customers thank us for making them feel safe in our store, that’s what it’s all about,” says Sarrazin.

For Sarrazin, finding a way to keep their regular customers safe was always the goal, he says the demographic of those who frequent the store makes safety a big priority.

Books and Company say they hope to keep the discount going for as long as COVID-19 does.
