PRINCE GEORGE – After several months break, some elementary school-aged students headed back to school.

The students were excited to meet their new teacher and re-connect with familiar faces.

During this first day of school, parents continued to remind their children to wear masks.

New class, new teacher, new schedules, and the new COVID protocols didn’t seem to dampen the spirits for some students entering into a new school year.

Some parents and students arrived early to familiarize themselves once again the school surroundings and stood on the sidelines and continued to remind their re-energized children to wear their masks and keep physically distanced to help the slow the spread of COVID-19.

Parents are encouraged to ask their child’s teacher or school principal questions if they have any concern for their child’s learning environment during the pandemic.
