PRINCE GEORGE—Charges have been approved in a break and enter at a local business last month.

Prince George RCMP say that on August 11, their Street Crew unit interrupted a break and enter on the 2300 block of Ospika Blvd.

The male suspect fled on foot and was located hiding near-by. He refused to obey police commands, however, was taken into custody with the assistance of a Police Dog Service team a few minutes later.

Further investigation led police to believe the suspect had been in possession of a semi-tractor that had been stolen from Grand Prairie, Alberta a few days prior. Police located the semi-tractor nearby.

31-year-old Clinton Jay Baraniuk of Prince George is being charged with Break and enter with intent, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Possession of break-in instruments, and Resist arrest.

Baraniuk was remanded in custody and will appear in court on Thursday, September 17.

Baraniuk was also charged for a break and enter to a local business on August 15 on Quinn St., back in August.
